While strolling through the Natick Mall earlier this week, I popped into Urban Outfitters to have a look around. They have an eclectic selection of things there, and I was immediately drawn to the beauty section (obviously)! Among all the lotions and balms, I found these great face masks for only $3!
I've heard of these masks before and I've been so excited to try one! I recently turned 35, so I am doing everything I can to preserve my skin! These are full face masks made from a paper/pulpy material and soaked in all kinds of good-for-your-skin things.
Here you can see the shape of the mask and the directions for use. You basically open the package, slap it on your face and relax for a half hour! Below are the ingredients and a little more information on the mask. No parabens, which is always a good thing!
I did try to take some before and after pictures, but the camera was just not cooperating with me. Here I am wearing the mask! It's very wet and has slices all around the edge. This makes it very easy to apply and it stuck to my face without a problem. I will say, though, that you should try not to laugh with this on your face or you'll have to readjust it. I walked into the bedroom immediately after applying it and my husband made me laugh! I had to adjust it a bit but it was fine.
The mask was very cooling on the skin, which was really nice and refreshing! I had no problem leaving it on for the full 30 minutes. It doesn't dry or stick to your skin like a pore strip would, for example. I really like that it stays moist because you can just peel it right off when you're done.
I took the mask off and gently wiped my face with a wet cloth and then patted it dry. I could see a visible reduction in pore size and my skin was visibly brighter. When my skin was dry, it felt SO smooth! It is now an hour later and I'm amazed at how silky it feels.
I have to say, my first experience with these masks was wonderful! These are a big hit for me. I really can't say if these are the best of the best when it comes to these full face masks, being that this is the first one I've tried, However, I can say that this particular one worked for me. I found a 5pk on Amazon that I am really considering buying.
So, if in the future you should happen to be at an Urban Outfitters or anywhere else where these are being sold, I highly suggest picking one up and trying it for yourself! Your face will thank you!
